I believe strongly in the power of people to heal. I believe most of the things we struggle with, day to day, can be seen as coping strategies that are utilized in search of health and connection and that it is important to honor the desire within each of us to seek solutions and relief from stress and trauma.
I have worked as an intensive family therapist and have been privileged to see people move towards better coping, towards each other; as well as to see individuals and couples develop new skills and new appreciation for each other and their own resiliency.
I have been married for 35 years. We have three children (two bio and one who came home through adoption), two amazing in-law kids, two fantastic (step) grand kids, and will be a great-grandma! I love gardening, learning, camping, sports, music, theatre, and travel.
I hold a Masters in Clinical Counselling and am a member in good standing with British Columbia Association of Clinical Counselling
