SARAH KREHEL, MA, RCC

Sarah is dedicated to providing a compassionate, warm, and inclusive counselling experience where clients can express themselves and feel heard, seen and understood. She is passionate about seeing others live a life that is meaningful to them and is honoured to support others through their healing process.

 

Sarah takes a holistic and flexible approach to her work, ensuring that she is best meeting the unique needs of each client. To do so, she draws from modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). and mindfulness to support her clients in developing tools, skills and insights through their counselling journey. At times, Sarah will incorporate creative interventions. Through her work, she has been able to develop strong rapport with clients which provides a supportive foundation for their work together.

 

Sarah has had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of individuals, with a special focus on youth and adolescents. Her specializations include working with challenges related to disordered eating, body image, anxiety and life transitions. Sarah also has experience in providing support to caregivers involved in a young person's life. 

 

Sarah obtained her Bachelor of Science from UBC-Okanagan, and completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology, with a focus in youth and adolescents through Adler University. Sarah has previous experience working in community-based programs focused on supporting youth and their families through eating disorder recovery.
