Identify as neurodivergent and looking for tailored support that honours your unique needs
If this sounds like you, you’re not alone. I understand how complex this period of life can be. As a counsellor in my 20s with both academic training and lived experience, I’m passionate about supporting you in building the confidence, skills, and resilience you need to thrive.
Navigating adolescence and young adulthood can be challenging. Whether you're balancing school, work, friendships, or relationships, feelings of stress, anxiety, or low self-esteem can sometimes feel overwhelming. You might also be facing difficulties with boundaries or managing emotional ups and downs.
I integrate Art Therapy to engage clients in exploring their emotions through creativity, which can be especially helpful if talking about feelings feels difficult or overwhelming. Using Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), I teach practical skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness to help you better manage day-to-day challenges.
I also draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), helping you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, while encouraging acceptance and living in line with your core values. Additionally, I apply principles from The Whole-Brain Child framework to support brain development and emotional integration, especially important during this pivotal stage of life.
My experience includes working closely with neurodivergent youth, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I appreciate the unique strengths and challenges of neurodiversity, and I tailor my support to help each person thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
I hold a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Victoria and a Master of Counselling Psychotherapy from Yorkville University. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a member of BCACC.
