ASSOCIATE CLINICAL COUNSELLOR

We are currently accepting applications for our contractor position for an Associate Clinical Counsellor or Registered Social Worker to join our team! See below for more information.

South Okanagan Counselling (SOC) is a well established and reputed practice located in Penticton, servicing the South Okanagan (Summerland to Osoyoos) providing adult, couple, youth, family, and child counselling. The clinic has recently acquired a beautiful new multi-room office space, providing associates with a high quality work environment and the opportunity for personal development and growth in their counselling practice. 

SOC values its ability to provide a warm, authentic, and supportive team culture for its associates along with professional, evidence-based, and experienced counselling services to the South Okanagan Community.

The successful candidate will require the following:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Social Work with appropriate registration and current liability insurance

  • Preferably offer services both in-person and online (will also consider online only)

  • Demonstrate excellent professional boundaries and ethical compliance with professional codes of conduct

  • Pursue ongoing professional development and supervision when necessary

  • Demonstrate compassion, warmth, authenticity, integrity, drive and work ethic, thriving in both team and individual work environments

  • Motivated to grow practice, attend team engagements, and network with other professionals

  • Be able to schedule counselling sessions, invoice, and collect client payment for counselling sessions along with any related clerical duties

  • Complete client session notes and additional reports in timely manner

  • Be willing to maintain cleanliness of the office workspace during use, to ensure a tidy and professional appearance, and be comfortable with opening and closing of office space when needed
