Healing. Empathy. Support.
I believe that counselling is a collaborative process in which my role is to walk alongside each of my clients, providing them with the emotional support and psycho-educational tools to draw upon the strength & solutions that inherently lie within them. I consider it a privilege to be invited into people's lives, often during very difficult times, and to be entrusted with the private & intimate details of their struggles. It is my honour to be able to offer a safe place for my clients, and to hold the space for them so that they can feel heard and begin to heal. I work with adult individuals, those seeking relationship & marriage counselling, maternal mental health counselling, and trauma/PTSD counselling. I graduated from City University of Seattle in 2011 and hold a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology. I am a member in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and I have been approved by the Crime Victim Assistance Program to provide counselling to victims of crime and their families.
Additional trainings include:
Gottman Method Levels I and II
Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders certification
Given that the relationship between counsellor and client is one of the most critical factors in determining positive outcomes for therapy, I offer a no fee 15-minute phone consultation to determine if we are the right fit for each other, and to answer any questions you may have.
